About Lucien Beverley Howry
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/69005327/lucien-beverly-howry
Lucien Beverly Howry was an amateur genealogist. The notes he made now belong to Louise Howry McRae, of Memphis, Tennessee (1993). Lucien was probably the source for the apparently erroneous claim in the 1939 edition of Burke's Landed Gentry that the Howrys were originally French Huguenots. A letter to Burke's elicited the response that the information was generally provided by living members of the families, but no record exists. Lucien belonged to the Magna Carta Society as a descendant of Henry de Bohun who signed the Magna Carta in 1215 (Wurts, Magna Carta Sureties, 673).
Two boxes of his genealogical papers 1909-1944 are at the University of Mississippi. "This series consists of applications and certificates pertaining to Lucien Beverley Howry's membership in various genealogical and historical organizations. The organizations include the Colonial Order of the Crown, First Families of Virginia, the Institute of American Genealogy, the Society of Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, Society of the Sons of the Revolution, the Sovereign Colonial Society of Americans of Royal Descent, and the Virginia Historical Society. Included is a genealogical chart tracing Lucien Beverley Howry's descent from Charlemagne." http://mdah.state.ms.us/manuscripts/z1875.html
