About Ludmilla Lea Pollak
Marriage record: HBMa 1749 RADENÍN (o. Tábor) O 1784-1840 N 1784-1842 (i) Z 1784-1842, record 1, image 7/76 (Vademecum)
Grave: Radenín no. 015 (Chewra.com)
The Familiant record clearly states that Wolf Joseph, a.k.a. Wolf Pollak, received a permit to marry Lea Kuh; but it also clearly states that this occurred in 1735, long before Wolf was even born. The marriage record identifies the bride only as "Lia." But the surname list of 1787 specifies that Wolf's wife, formerly called "Lea," adopted the name "Ludmilla," while the 1793 census gives "Ludmilla" as the name of Wolf's wife and specifies that Wolf is the "Tochtermann" (husband of the daughter) of Israel and Rachel Götz, who lived in the same house (Radenín no. 6): for sources, see profiles of Wolf Pollak and Israel Götz. The preponderance of evidence is thus on the side of attributing to Lea/Ludmilla the birth surname of "Götz" rather than "Kuh." —M.R.
