About Marvin Warner Trask
Marvin enlisted 11/14/1812 as a trumpeter in Captain Asa B. Sizer's Company of the New York Militia. Returning from duty at Sacketts Harbor, Marvin travelled west with his brother, Josiah. In 1820 the brothers were in Monroe County, Illinois on the east side of the Mississippi River. Some time in the 1820's the two brothers were joined by a third brother, Putnam. By 1826 the 3 brothers were at Webster Mines (Palmer) in Washington County. Marvin & Alice are buried on a knoll behind their house on the farm, which was bought by William & Elizabeth Clonts after Marvins death.
