April 16,1920 Editor, Franklin Press: Will you please let me write a few lines in your paper about Mrs. Malinda Ray. Mrs. Ray was 89 years Old when she died. She died April 4, 1920 on Easter Sunday. She had been blind for 15 years. She was a good Christian mother and we will miss her. It was a great pleasure to all of us little girls to go and hear this good mother talk and tell things that happened when she was a girl. She could tell us about the Indians and about the Civil War and many other interesting stories. She didn't fear death. She said she wanted to go home where all her troubles would be ended. Isn't it a happy thought to know this good old mother is in heaven? Let us all be ready to meet her in that good world. Written by : Bertha Bryant
