Mary Atwater, dau. of David Atwater and Damaris Sayrer, b. of record Mar. 31, 1662 in New Haven, Conn. She d. Oct. 17, 1746 in Durham, Conn. (g.s.).

On Oct. 22, 1688 of record in New Haven, Mary m. (1) Ichabod Stow, s. of Rev. Samuel Stow and Hope Fletcher, b. of record Feb. 20, 1652/3 in Middletown, Conn. where he died Jan. 25, 1694/5 (g.s.) Two known daughters were born of the marriage in Middletown: Abigail on Jan. 25 (bp Jan. 29), 1692/3 who d. Oct. 19, 1700; Hope on Oct. 30 (bp Nov. 4), 1694, who would marry.

On an unrecorded date and place before 1697, Mary m. (2) as his second wife, David Robinson, s. of Thomas and Mary Robinson of Guilford, CT. By this marriage were born four known children: Thomas, Mary, Ebenezer and Hannah. David Robinson d. Jan. 1, 1747/8 in Durham, Conn. (g.s.)

Based on Mary's recorded date of birth (Mar. 31, 1662), on the day she died she was 84 years old, and Ætatis suæ (i.e., Æ, "Aged," in the XX year of her Age) 85, not 83 as inscribed.
