Mrs. Mary Thomason succumbs to illness
Mrs. Mary E. Thomason, aged 86, who passed away at 6:40 a.m. Monday, was buried Tuesday afternoon at Cincinnati Cemetery, Rev. E.M. Freyching, officiating.
Mrs. Thomason was a pioneer citizen of this section and was prominently connected. She is survived by:
- five children
- J. D. Thomason, Tulsa
- H.R. Thomason, Lincoln
- Mrs. W.T. Smith, Rock Ford, Colorado
- Dr. H.E. Thomason, Kansas City, Missouri, and
- T.H. Thomason, Cincinnati.
Her sister, Mrs. Anna Moore of Northwest Fayetteville, and a half-brother, Hannibal Smith of Summers, also survive. Other relatives living include:
- J. Frank Moore, nephew, and
- Mrs P... Earl, niece.
The deceased was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee, May 4, 1839, and had come to Arkansas when six years of age.
Mrs. Thomason's husband, Captain T.W. Thomason, died 15 years ago. He was a Confederate veteran and served as both representative and senator from this section.
