Tzvi was not born in Sanislau. All the children of Menachem Bohm were born in Merk. David Bohm moved from Merk to Sanislau a village of about 5,000 which is now Romania. It became Romania around in 1920 after the First World War, prior to that date it was Hungary. When and why David Bohm moved to Sanislau I do not know. The next bigger town to Sanislau was Nagykaroly (Carei) in Romanian. Only two sons of David Bohm lived in Sanislau, Ignatz and Nandor, their families are well known. The other sons Bela (Jonathan) and Sandor (Alex) lived in Nagyvarad (Oradea) in Romanian. The four girls Roza lived in Szeplak, Frida lived in Fehergyarmat subsequently in Budapest, Mariska (Malka) my mother in Nyirbator and Erzsi (Esther) in Nagyvarad. Comments by Teddy Kessler.
