Grew up at Delaware Bay, Nelson and then moved to Spring Grove, near Wakefield in Nelson. When I left school I worked for Colin Martin on his dairy farm which later developed into a very mixed farm growing fruit, vegetables and other crops. Joined the Navy in 1959 and spent 15 years there. Later sold real estate and worked in that industry until coming to China and am now working as an English Teacher in Anshan, Liaoning Province, China. (NE China)
