About Roberta Bobby Sue Jacobs

Howard, my husband of 50 years, has been very busy with his art which you can see at http://artid.com/hajco. We have three children, Linda married to Jeff, Jim married to Lisa and Patti partnered and married to Jerry Ann. Linda was a lawyer in Philadelphia; Jim is an assistant band director in Grayslake, IL, has private students and plays his trumpet wherever there is a demand; and Patti designs web pages in Vermont. My first job was as an actuary at Washington National Insurance. I worked for Quaker Oats as a computer programmer, taught computers to children in k-8th grade, was manager of a computer software store, was a computer consultant and finally worked with Howard and Jim in a family business, Howard Displays, which Howard began in 1953. Three years ago, I started to work part-time as a Lego Associate in Northbrook Court. Lisa and Jim have two boys; Steven and Andy. Steven is 17 and Andy is 12 and like their father, both play the trumpet. Linda and Jeff have twin boys 11 named Stirling and Finlay. They are black belts in Karate, swim year round and do the sport of the season. Finlay has started to run with the Mt. Laurel track team. Howard and I like to travel particularly to see places from where our ancestors came. We have traveled to Germany for Howard’s ancestors and this past year went to Lithuania and Belarus for my roots. After getting a birth registration in Vilnius of my father, I found out he was a twin, which was quite a surprise. It had never been mentioned. Genealogy is my passion and I would like to pursue a career at this time of my life helping others with their genealogy. However, most of all, I enjoy my time spent with my children and grandchildren.
