About Nils Johnsen
Nils Jonson, born in the late 17th century, was a member of the House of Godwin as a patrilineal descendant of Godwin, Regent of England, Earl of Wessex, Earl of Kent through Godwin's son Tostig, Earl of Northumbria. Tostig's son Ketil Hook (Kjetil Krok) immigrated to Norway in 1067, establishing an aristocratic dynasty at Torgar in Brønnøy—from which the Marskaret family derives.
