Coming from a long line of Websters, Noah Sr. was the son of Daniel. (John, Robert son of John Webster) JohnI came from Warwickshire, England. This John Webster can be found on the list of founders of Hartford, Conn. Noah Sr. built the home he an Mercy raised there children. Noah Sr, made his living as a farmer and as like most men in that time period he was active in his parish settlement. Noah Jr's account in his published genealogy wrote his father Noah Sr. lived to the age of 91 years and 7 months.

Noah Webster's ca. 1750 house is available to visitors by guided tour on a walk-in basis during the museum's visitor hours (seven days per week from 1-4 p.m. See the information bar to the left). Guide-led tours approximately 45 to 60 minutes, while our new tablet tour allows visitors to take a tour at their own pace. Noah Webster's house consists of four period-furnished rooms in two floors.
