Nolan Daniels (1958 - 2006)
Brief overview:
Nolan (48), who lived in Kuilsrivier, was driving on the R300 from Bellville in the Western Cape with his girlfriend Vivien (42), when the vehicle when someone threw a brick through the passenger window, on Saturday 24th June 2006. He leant over to protect Vivian and the brick hit him on the head.
Nolan lost control of his Opel Astra, the vehicle went through the rails on the road, and into the woods, and came to a standstill. He sustained severe head injuries and was taken to the Tygerberg hospital in critical condition, and admitted into the ICU.
His skull was cracked and there was a long tear at the back of his head, said his son. A doctor at the hospital said Nolan's brain was so swollen that they could not operate. He is pronounced dead around 06h00.
