Harry R. Stetter, 79, of 557 Baumgardner Road, Willow Street, died Saturday at Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness. He and his wife, Lois A. Grassglass Stetter, were married 55 years in July. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Florence E. Pontz Stetter. Stetter worked for 17 years as a plumber for Armstrong World Industries, retiring in 1980. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. Stetter was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Lititz Sportsman's Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Paul K., husband of Patricia A. of Willow Street; a daughter, Ruth A. of Lancaster, four grandchildren; two sisters, Jean P., wife of Arthur Gingrich of Lancaster, and Gladys R., wife of Clarence White of Mount Joy; and a brother, Richard P., husband of Ruth Stetter of Bausman.
