Notes from research done by Helen E Cock-Collins (great great niece) shows marriage to Martha Stower on 19 Aug 1850.Gives the name as Peter Andries Barchfield, and notes that variations from this spelling are incorrect. Also, a note that several Death Notices for various Barchfields noted that they died "Mental" - possibly Alzheimer's?
Unable to verify any of the above as yet (Aug 2015).
