He and Cilly Carlebach emigrated from Frankfurt, Germany, and eventually settled in Detroit Michigan. Leopold Neuhaus lived at 1909 Calvert, Detroit, Michigan, in 1954. He died on 10 May 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, at age 75. He was buried after 10 May 1954 at the Beth Tefilo Emanuel Cemetary, Fermdale, Michigan, located on Woodward north of 8 and 1/2 mile rd.
