Rachel Winter's father was Emanuel Winter (see her birth and marriage records, below). Evidence has not yet been found that Emanuel was also the father of Juda M. Winter, nor therefore that Rachel & Juda M. were siblings.

Birth record (February 12, 1789; Haus No. 4 Ostroh) is in Czech Jewish Registers, UHERSKÝ OSTROH O [Marriages] 1784-1830 which also includes N (Births) and Z (Deaths), image #25/113 (the births come after the marriages in the register book). Father is Emanuel Winter, mother's name looks like Barbra. Someone wrote over Rachel's birth name, Winter, with her married name, "Reifova."

Emanuel Winter was Familiant No. 8 in Ostroh from about 1796 (when he was 39). He died Dec. 2, 1831 in Ostroh; birthdate given as 1757. Haus No., 4; Image #6/ in Uhersky Ostroh Deaths 1830-1846.
