Rev. Thomas Parker-3 (Josiah-2, James-1), son of Josiah & Elizabeth (Saxton/Saxson) PARKER, b. 7 Dec 1700 in Cambridge MA, d. 18 March 1765 in Dracut MA; he graduated from Harvard College in 1718, and settled in the ministry at Dracut MA in 1720. He was the first petitioner for a grant of land known as Narragansett No 4., and subsequently Goffstown NH. The town was granted to the Rev. Thomas Parker and others on Saturday the 3rd day of December 1748. The said Parker as one of the proprietors drew the following lots: lot No. 1 in the 6th range on the south side; lot No. 6 in the 6th range on the north side; lot No. 5 in the 12th range on the north side. He m. 1 Jan 1720/21 Lydia RICHARDSON, dau of Capt. Jonathan & Elizabeth (Bates) Richardson. She b. 14 July 1702 in Chelmsford MA and d. 25 Sep 1787 in Litchfield NH. In his will, executed 19 Dec 1764 he gave to his wife Lydia, and to his sons, Mathew, John and Jonathan, daughters Lydia Whiting, Elizabeth Parker, Lucy Abbott and Sarah Martin; and to Nathaniel, Lydia, Dorothy, Thomas, Robert and Mary, children of his son Thomas; and Elizabeth, William, Mary and Jonathan, children of his son William.
