”In September 2017 I led a tour to Derbyshire, England, in search of my Puritan ancestors William Wilcockson and his wife Margaret. They came to New England on the Planter in 1635 with their two-year-old son John Wilcockson and Ann Harvie, whom I believe to be Margaret’s sister. They came during the Puritan Great Migration 1620-1640. With them on the Planter were Margaret’s first cousins Richard Harvie and his sister Mary Harvie with her husband William Beardsley and their three children Mary, John and infant Joseph. ...”

Immigration
Richard was aged 22 years on 2 April 1635 when he was included as a passenger at London aboard the Planter [Hotten 45]. He first settled at Concord and removed to Stratford by 1644.
Marriages
Richard married twice.
- He married by 1639, as his 1st, to Margaret (Unknown). They had twodaughters together (twins) who lived only two and three days. Margaret died a few days later, on 2 December 1639 at Concord, Massachusetts.
- He married by 1644, as his 2nd, to Unknown (Unknown).
Positions and Property
Richard was a tailor, like his father. By 7 November 1670, "Sergeant Richard Harvee" held seven parcels of property at Stratford.
Death and Legacy
Richard died between 15 July 1686 and 4 November 1689.
