John Andrews was a farmer and lived in Boxford, where he occupied a very prominent position; is styled "gentleman" on the records. Served the town as assessor, moderator, selectman many times, constable.

Samuel Symonds moved to Boxford in 1663, where he became one of the influential men of the town. He served on many committees, was town collector, surveyor, and selectman for many years; constable, and representative to the General Court.

Joseph married 1st SARAH PERLEY on Feb. 1, 1681 in Topsfield, MA (see Perley Family.) Sarah was the daughter of SAMUEL and RUTH (TRUMBULL) PERLEY, of Ipswich. Sarah Perley was born 7 June 1665; died 15 Jan. 1694. Joseph married 2nd., Mary, daughter of James and Rebecca Dickinson. Joseph married 3rd., Mrs. Abigail (Grafton) [widow of ] Walker, of Salem.

Robert was baptized 14 November 1609citation needed in Boxford, Berkshire, England, and married about 1635 in Boxford, Berkshire, England, Grace MELBURN.citation needed Our Massachusetts ancestors, A-Br a typescript by Dorothy Huggins Harding (December 1969) on p. 4 refers to Grace as Melburn and has a long list of sources, which were all checked and not one refers to her as Melburn. The Hartford Times genealogical queries, answers, and note file, compiled by Helen F Reese in assorted volumes has queries looking for proof that Robert was son of Robert and Elizabeth Franklin, that he was married to Grace Melburn and looking for Grace's ancestry. Life

Robert Andrews of Andros emigrated from Boxford, England, about 1656 with six children and his wife Grace. He settled in Boxford, Massachusetts. He bought 200 acres of land in July, 1661. The farm was located on the west side of Pye brook. He also bought land both in Boxford andin Topsfield. His first house appears to have been destroyed and a new house was built in 1668. He died on May 29, 1668 at Topsfield, and Grace died on December 25, 1700, also at Topsfield. <ref>#S-430 Vol. I, Page 493</ref>
