According to Patrick Hays: "Robert Duncan received a land grant in 1715. He did not need to be of age to do this, but it would be more likely that he would be. Since he did not die until 1793, he would have been very old." "There is no proof that he is the son of John and Sina Browning Duncan. In fact I am not satisfied that these people even existed, however, I can not break a link in Geni. Hopefully that ability will come in the future. The Duncan line given here going back farther than Robert Duncan falls into the category of what I call 'Duncan Mythology.' Many of these people did not exist."
