" Robert the Bruce

You (R-BY95749) and Robert the Bruce (R-FTB15831) share a common paternal line ancestor (R-ZZ11) who lived around 2200 BCE (4200 years ago).

Robert the Bruce was born in Cardross, Scotland and was destined to free Scotland from English rule. He was at one time excommunicated from the Catholic Church but was later absolved. Robert the Bruce is considered a national hero in Scotland.

Robert was a large man for the time in which he lived, towering over others at about 6 feet in height. He fought in many battles as a valiant warrior, returning the right to rule Scotland to the Bruce family."www.findagrave.com
