Mrs. Ruby Eastwood Soper, 87, of Star Route, Poca, died Thursday in Riverside Nursing Home, St. Albans. She was a native of Poca River and was a former nurse in Rock Branch during World War I. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Poca Baptist Church. She was a senior citizen volunteer at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Surviving: several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gartens Funeral Home, Poca, with the Rev. Delbert Hawley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
