About R' Samuel Peretz of Lubartow
Per Kielce Radom Special Interest Group Journal," Vol. 8, No. 2:
- Was killed with his wife as they drove on a road in a forest next to Chmielnik and were buried there. His [grand]father R. Peretz was known in Opatow, and he is the ancestor of the current Peretz family in Poland. And this last one was the son of R. Aryeh Lejbesh from Opatow, whose father R. Yona Head Rabbinical Judge Tarla, author of "Aleh Deyona" (Fyordal694) was the son of R. Moshe Binyamin Zeev, whose father R. Yona from Krakow, who was mentioned there in the Pinkas HaKahal in 1648, was son of R. Chayim.
Note: this may be refereeing to his uncle Reb Shmuel Peretz, and there is possibly a mix up with Gitel Landau who should be linked to the uncle Reb Shmuel Peretz?
