About Sarclotus (Fictional)

According to the imaginative reconstruction of David Hughes, Sarclotus (Siarklotus) was the son of Jasna "Piliste" and a grandson of Jesus' brother Jose(ph). He is said to have married Eurgain, a British princess. They had two children, Emanuel "Erise" and Gwladys, wife of King Lucius. See David Hughes, The British Chronicles (2007), Vol. 2, Table 27A and David Hughes, Davidic Dynasty at Angelfire.com visited Aug. 8, 2013 (slightly different PDF version available at <http://prioratulromanobss.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/davidicdynast... Davidic Dynasty>).

Brian Starr presents the same genealogy, but says he had two wives named Eurgain. See Brian Starr, The Life of Saint Brychan (2008), 113-14.

In the reconstructions of Hughes and Starr, Sarclotus is inserted between Piliste and Erise, who appear as father and son in a traditional Irish pedigree. See John O'Hart, Irish Pedigrees: Origin and Stem of the Irish Nation (reprinted 1989), 43, citing "MacFirbis's Genealogies".

There is no contemporary evidence of his existence.
