The book , The Ancient Families of Dee and Day of Wales, Ireland and England, gave Susanna Ring b1623 d 10 Dec 1713 , as Anthony Day's bride.

Vital Records of Gloucester , gave the name Susanna Matchett as Anthony Day's wife.

Great effort has been made by numerous researchers to learn Susanna's correct surname. Some speculate that Susanna may be correctly identified as both RING and MATCHETT , one being her maiden name and one a previous marriage surname.

According to William Richard Cutter's Genealogical & Personal Memoirs Relating to the Families of Boston and Eastern Massachusetts (1908), Susanna Machet(t) was born in 1623 in England. She arrived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony as a servant of William Vinson and married Anthony Day c. 1649. She died on December 10, 1717 at 94 years old.
