PLEASE NOTE: The above information relates to the wrong Thomas Foulke. This Thomas Foulke was the son of Edward ap Foulke of Wales, who Anglicized his name to Edward Foulke when he came to Pennsylvania. This confusion of English and Welsh Foulke family's has been going on for many years. According to English marriage records, Thomas Fouke, of Codnor, Derbyshire, married Dorothy Cham at St.Laurance, Heanor, Derbyshire, on Oct. 30, 1616. St. Laurance (Lawrence) was an Anglican church, and, according to its records, a Thomas Fowke was a substitute church warden there, representing Codnor, in 1613. Dorothy's maiden name has been misspelled as "Chain" and tacked onto the Welsh Foulke family for many years also.
