Thomas Cooper "Coop" Martin (1830-1908) was a son of William Thomas Martin & Elizabeth Duckworth.

Thomas Cooper Martin (twin brother of Benjamin Crocket Martin) was married to Harriet Baker Martin on 17 December 1868.

Served as County Commissioner and Chairman of School Board in Pickens County SC.

They had the following children:

• Benjamin Franklin Martin, born 5 September 1869, Central, Pickens County, SC, deceased 14 December 1945, Greenville, Greenville County, SC. Attorney in Greenville, SC. Interred Springwood Cemetery, Greenville, SC. Married to Cleo King.
• Oscar Baker Martin, born 8 November 1870, Central, SC, deceased 30 June 1935 College Station, Texas. School Superintendent, author, Professor at Texas A&M. He was married to Dora Cook 23 December 1897. She died in 1923 and was buried in Greenville, SC. He remarried by 1930 in College Station, Texas, to Grace M Martin.
• Ernest A Martin, born 15 May 1875, deceased 16 November 1902, Atlanta, GA. He was married to Bessie Burk 11 July 1900.
• Furman Hovey Martin Sr, born 30 May 1880, Central, SC, deceased 28 May 1962, Wilmington, NC, buried Greenville, SC. Pharmacist in Charlotte, NC. He was married to Marie Eloise Sadler 8 October 1908 in Charlotte NC.
• Onie Pauline Martin, born July 29, 1882, deceased July 21, 1969. School teacher. Never married.
