About Thomas Prence
Biography
Thomas went to England and died there in early life, leaving a widow and daughter, Susannah Prence, who, in 1677, is styled 'of Catheren Gate, near the Tower, singlewoman.' She is mentioned in the will of her grandfather, Governor Prence, who 'had a maiden sister, Susannah, living at St. Catherine's Gate, near London Tower.
Thomas was named in a 1668/9 letter to his father Thomas from their kinsman John Prince. John claimed that when his wife had been visiting London that she had seen Thomas III and also their kinsman John Milton. [1]
He had died before 15 Mar 1669/70 when his widow Susannah and her second husband Thomas Edmanson wrote to his father Governor Thomas Prence. [2]
