Walter John Avdevich

Walter J. Avdevich, 83, of Louisville, died Thursday, October 30, 2003. He was retired from Ford Motor Co. and an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He is survived by his sons, Ron and Don Avdevich; grandchildren, Jay and Joe Avdevich, Amy Avdevich-Akin and Nicole Wells; great-grandson, Bricklen Avdevich; and a sister, Mary Beale. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Rd., with burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. Sunday at family-owned Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Rd. Memorial gifts may go to Mass of the Air.
