8. William CHURCHILL of Dorchester was born in 1541 in Dorchester, Dorsetshire, England. He signed a will on 12 Mar 1599. He died before 18 Nov 1602.

Son of John CHURCHILL of Dorchester & Edith BOND

He was married to Miss (Missy) SWAYNE (daughter of John SWAYNE of Blandford and Agnes RYVES) in 1565 in Dorchester, Dorsetshire, England. Miss SWAYNE was born about 1545 in Blandford, Dorset, England.

William CHURCHILL of Dorchester and Miss SWAYNE had the following children:

1.        +15       i.       Eldest son CHURCHILL (born about 1565, Given name unknown.)
2.        +16       ii.       John CHURCHILL of Stinsford and Muston, Dorset (born about 1566).
3.        +17       iii.       Virtue CHURCHILL (born about 1568).
4.        +18       iv.       Grace CHURCHILL (born about 1570).
5.        +19       v.       Ann CHURCHILL (born in 1572).
6.        +20       vi.       Mary CHURCHILL (born about 1574).

7. William Churchill

William Churchill was born in Dorchester c1541. He is shown as the head of the family in the 1623 visitation but this does not name his wife. He married in 1565 in Dorchester to the daughter of John Swayre of Blandford and his wife Agnes Ryves but she only appears to have been known as 'Missy'. They had 6 children one of which was John Churchill of Muston & Stinsford (born about 1566) who married Eleanor Miller of Came and their descendants are covered in the visitation.
