Sir William Warren, Knight, merchant and shipowner of Wapping, London, bpt 7 Jan 1626/7 at Ilsington, Devon where his father was vicar.[1] Note this baptism comes a month after his father's death. Wealthy, large contractor with Admiralty. He was knighted 12 Apr 1662. Great builder of ships for King Charles II.

He married Mary, daughter of William Culling of Woodland, Devon.
