About Yedidya Lieber Brenner
Yedidya (more commonly known by his Yiddish/Polish name, Lieber) Brenner r Jochnowitz was born in 1870 in Mielec, Poland. It was most likely his mother who was the Jochnowitz in the last name ("r" refers to the mother's maiden name). He owned a brick factory in Mielec, and was partner in that venture with Moses Ascheim. Lieber/Yedidya's fate is marked by three terse words in a Polish record -- "rozstrzelany przez Niemcow" -- "shot by the Germans."
