About
Kolešovice ( German Koleschowitz, formerly Kolle Scho joke) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers northwest of Rakovníka and belongs to Okres Rakovník.
Geography
Kolešovice located in the Rakovnická kotlina ( Rakonitzer boiler) in Rakonitzer hills. The village is located in the shallow valley of the brook Kolešovický creek, in the creek above the village of Keblanský and open out creek below the Hájevský. On the western edge of the pond Zámecký rybník is. South-west rises the Ptačí vrch ( Vogelherdhöhle, 431 m), in the west of Šmikouský vrch ( Schmiker mountain, 438 m ) and northwest of the Na Vyhlidce ( Red Huebl, 426 m). The town is the terminus of the railway line Krupá - Kolešovice. Neighboring towns are Nová Ves, Hořesedly and Veclov in the north, Rozkoš and Kněževes in the northeast, Chrášťany and Olešná in the east, Rakovníka and Přílepy the southeast, Nouzov, Senomaty, Mateska, Vinice, Šanov and Pšovlky in the south, Švihov, Oráčov and Čížkov in the southwest, Keblany, Zderaz and Šmikousy in the west and Hořovičky, Heřmanov, Hokov and Děkov in the northwest.
