This project seeks to collect all of the Jewish families from the town of Švihov (Schwihau) in Bohemia, Czech Republic.

Svihov became part of the Czech Torah Project when one of the Torah's in the collection was identified as coming from Svihov. This Torah is now in the possession and protection of Congregation Albert in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States.

Some individuals named Bloch or Block from Svihov went to St. Louis, Missouri, US early in the 1800's. The book Zion in the Valley by Ehrlich documents some of these people.
