The Fasslers who lived in Bukovina region un the 19 -20th century and their relatives who immigrated to USA and Israel were very good handy-craft people, and many of them were very good in music. The family legend tells us that the first father of the family (Benjamin maybe called Nagler?) ran away (in the first half of the 19th century) from the Russian/Ukrainian army and came to a litle village (Kriva??) to the Fasslers house. Mr. Fassler made wine-barel and had an not priety daughter. He accepted Benjamin in 2 conditions: 1/ Benjamin had to take Fassler's daughter (named Shiendle) 2/ He had to take his surname.
