The Bremen Clan of the HINTE surname, was derived from Hans Christoph HINTZE,around 1700 (No records exist in Jembke before this time?).
His Son Günther HINTE, was the first person to consistently use the HINTE surname, although at times he also used the HINTZE & " WINKLEMAN" (the name of the property that they owned) Surnames. There after the HINTE surname was in constant use.
Today the HINTE surname apart from the German origin, is In the USA (at least 3 sep,. Branches?) Australia, Chile & Australia.
