Very briefly, I wish to contribute that there still are several errors in trying to track down the connection with all the various "Jacobs" from Lancaster County, PA.
My Souders family thread and line has complete verified facts of our lineage back to the "Original" immigrant Jacob Sowter who is the landowner in the early 1700's around the area named Soudersburg, PA.
There is much inaccurate speculation that one of this Jacob's sons is the same Jacob from VA . This is not supported by DNA. A lot of this misinformation is a regeneration of unsupported online "connections" for several years.
I would be glad to contact anyone who wished to correspond.
