All we know about Wilhelm, born in Gliwice, now Poland (Upper Silesia) on September 19, 1900, is that he lived in Berlin, Germany and was a holocaust survivor. He escaped WWII in 1938 to New York, U.S.A and apparently perished from an unknown decease in the mid-late 40s. Wilhelm was married to Hertha Silbermann (née Schmock) born in Berlin, on December 6, 1903. As per a List of Manifest of Alien Passengers ex S.S. Nieuw Amsterdam, they sailed from Rotterdam on August 6th, 1938 and arrived in New York, NY on August 12, 1938. Wishing to find out about his burial site and where/how is it he spent his last days.
