Robert Watts , of the Parish of Saint Martins in the Fields , was indicted for the Murther of Mark Paul on the 29th of June last, by driving the off Wheel of a Cart, whereby it bruised the Head of the Deceased between a Post . It appeared that the Carter was going down a descent by Charing-Cross , and that the Child was peeping at the Corner of the Post, he did drive the Wheel upon it, not knowing that it was there; and being called to put back his Horse, he accordingly did what he could; the Prisoner said that he had the Fill-horse by the Head, and was very sorry for what he had done, it being merely by accident; the Jury acquitted him.
