Cannot find Birth Details for my GGrandfather. He died in WW1 in France .....killed in action on 24/11/1917 in Bourlon Wood, France. It has been said he was born in Ashton Gate, Bedminster between 1880 qnd 1890!!His fathers name on his Marriage Certis William Buck and he was a Docker.

Charles was married to Ellen Jane Hodge in Bristol UK in 1905

Was he definitely killed in WW1?

as far as i am aware was killed in action on 24/11/1917 in Bourlon, France
