Malcolm, 2nd Earl of Atholl was the son of Madach, 1st Earl of Atholl and unknown wife (?).2,3 He married unknown wife (?).4 He married, secondly, Hextilda (?), daughter of Uchtred FitzWaldeve and Bethoc of Scotland, after 1159.1 He died between 1194 and 24 August 1198.5
He succeeded to the title of 2nd Earl of Atholl [S., c. 1115] circa 1150.1 Before 1174 he made a donation to the Priory of St. Andrews.2 Circa 1178 granted the Ch of Moulin to the Abbey of Dunfermline and the Ch of Dull to St Andrews.5 Between 1183 and 1186 he made a donation to Dunfermline.2
