Hello everybody,

Maybe one of you can help -

In the years 1945-1947 my grandparents, Egon and Deli Kux, worked in Sweden with children who survived Bergen Belsen. The children home (boarding school) where they worked was located in Lovsatra near Taby north of Stockholm and then moved to Billesholm near Helsingborg.
My parents and I have recently visited Villa Torekull in Billesholm where the children home was located, and we are now trying to find the children seen in the linked photos (see link below) taken in these children homes in Sweden. The "children" should be around 80 years old now.
Some names appear on the photos - Sonia Zilber, Mirka Stern, Renee and Hertha Gross. The house manager was a Swedish woman named Maja Wiking.

I would be grateful if you would spread around the pictures.

Many thanks,

Thanks, Debbie Rose, but the children in the pictures from Sweden were born in Poland and other countries around 1933-1935 and were sent to Bergen Belsen by the Nazis. They were not born in Bergen Belsen.

my mother was one of these kids
She was born in 1934 and was in Bergen Belsen when the war was finished
I cannot find her in the pictures, maybe because she was very sick
she was sent from bergen belsen to Conga (Denmark?) and from there to Billesholm .
I assume there wasn;t another place in Billesholm that treated sick childrem from Bergen Belsen., so it must be Villa Torekull
after that she was sent to France and in 1948 she arrived to Israek with "Aliat HaNoar" and is in Israel since then
I became very emotional finding this pictures,
my mother is still alive and I hope she will be able to remember your grandparents and the kids in the pictures

Marla Tribich lived in London and survived Bergen Belson before going to Sweden. I will show her the photos and get back to you as she is very involved in Holocaust education in the UK.

Hi
I posted this message in 2013. After posting it, we identified many of the children in the photos and contacted several of them. We held two reunions at my parents home.

Great work, Itai.

Branches of my family left Poland for Sweden well before the Shoah.
