It has been shown that Sarah was the same age (generation) of Ninian Bealle and therefore is considered his sister, not his daughter.

This whole section of the tree looks like it needs a cleanup, but there seem to have been two Ninians and two Sarahs, both of them brother-sister pairs, one generation apart.

This is not all that uncommon, given the tendency to recycle the same few favorite names in a family. (How to drive later genealogists crazy!)
