Rosella, Martha, Jesse, and Eva were children of his 1st marriage to Matilda (last name unknown). See 1880 U.S. Census for Stoddard County, Missouri. Matilda died around 1883 and Thomas married Jane Byers Turner Dec. 21, 1884 while she was pregnant with John William Turner. William Turner died in a train accident in Oct. 1884.

Thomas and Jane had 2 sons together: Charley and Lewis (Lude) White.
