About Dan Cornett
I am a "Systems Engineer" ... I like to figure out how things work, how the pieces fit together, how to make some sense out of a mess -- and then to find ways to make that "system" a little better. Whether the "system" is technical or social, one has to understand ones own biases in order to have a clearer understanding of the "real" underlying "system".
Music & photography are a part of who I am ...
Geocaching and reading are fun, too.
When you put all those together, genealogy incorporates several of those interests: searching, making sense of incomplete information, finding connections, understanding different cultural contexts, differentiating between facts and conjecture, ...
Don't be surprised if you find me in parts of the World Family Tree near to you! It's part of my work as a Geni curator to help clean up the World Tree, so I might end up in branches close to you. If you see my work in the tree near where you are working, say hello! I'm delighted to meet you, and happy to be of service. And, of course, if I've made any mistakes, please let me know, and attach sources to the profile or in a Discussion under that profile. All of us, curators and users alike, work together here on Geni.
If you would like to learn more about the concept of one shared World Family Tree on Geni, please check out the Geni project: Connecting to the Big Tree for more information about it.
