I noticed that many people have Ikshvāku as their 167th great grandfather. Why is it that way? In addition, practically everyone from a few thousand years ago is connected to the World Family Tree, and therefore, have a viable path to Adam of Eden. My question is, how can it be that Ikshvaku existed, if his birth is dated even before Adam's? In addition to that, he has no path to Adam. it just says that Adam is a certain one of his descendant's ancestors. If you have any answers for this query, please reply to this discussion. Thank you.

Did know they have mythological ancestries on here? Some even say it on them. Kinda wish those weren't on here, but not going to fight that battle as it would be an excuse to also get rid of the Bibical ones as well.

Yes, some people have entered the ancestries from the Vedas.

Like in the Biblical tree, there's traditions that link existing people to those traditions, and we have no bright line that lets us say "this is documentation, that is legend". So we should cut the lines where there's no evidence, and leave them in place where there are citable references.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikshvaku_dynasty shows a dynasty of 148 generations, ending in the year 362 BCE, so 167th grandfather seems a little short if that's the tradition that has been entered.
