Gladys Irene Brown Weatherbie - Searching for her maiden name

Gladys was, by census records, born in Texas 1901-1902. So far, I cannot find her birth surname.Gladys married @James Edward "Ed" Brown about 1919-1920, probably in Kansas. They later moved to Idaho, where Ed died in 1953. She then married @John Farley Weatherbie in 1954. They moved to California, where she died in 1967. Her California death certificate lists her mother's name as Kennedy - which would be her mother's maiden name.
