How did Thomas Vincent Edgartown, MA meet Sarah Post Norwich, CT? This was a considerable distance in the 1600s to travel.

I am unsure except to maybe theorize Thomas was a boatman or fisherman who worked along the coast and they somehow met that way, I do agree it would be quite a wagon ride to see someone. I will dig on my end and see what I can find.

Actually,..According to "Nauset and The World..
Thomas2 Vincent, (William 1), b. 15 Sept. 1656; res. E. and is called a gunsmith (1689) and a locksmith (1707) ; prob. rem. to Norwich, Conn. bef. 1707, where his wife's family resided. He m. Sarah Post, dau. of Thomas and Mary (Andrews) Post of Norwich abt. 1676. She was b. Nov. 1657 and was living in 1746 (Norwich Land Rec. X, 16). He prob. returned to E. and adm. of his est. was granted 4 Mch. 1740, and the inventory of his est. showed property to value of £240-4-0.
I am not sure if he would have owned his own company or worked for a 'smith in the area as Norwich was Founded around 1659
