Intially did the health and ancestry test via 23 and Me.
Y result is the fairly common RL-21.

Uploaded my raw data to GED Match and this updated to R-L1065

Jonathan, I tested via LivingDNA and am also R-L1065. I'm on GEDmatch Genesis (basic GEDmatch doesn't accept LDNA kits), kit no. ZX1995321. If you wouldn't mind sharing your GEDmatch kit no., I would appreciate it.

I've just started looking at R-L1065 and see it is part of the Scots Cluster. My earliest Arnett ancestor came to America in the late 1600s, but we don't know where from. Looks like now we know that the Arnetts originated in Scotland. I've wondered if there were any connection between us and Arnot Tower in SE Scotland...looks like there could be.

I am in Colorado Springs, Colorado. And you?

Looking forward to collaborating.

I too have just been tested via LivingDNA and am also R-L1065. Although another company designated me as L371, Ancient Welsh cluster.

I also tested with Living DNA April 2019 with an R-L1065 assessment. Looking at Family Tree DNA, it seems there are quite a few more recent mutations so the R-L1065 is not as definitive as itr could be. Where I looked was here: https://www.familytreedna.com/public/R1b-L1335/default.aspx?section...

Almost all groupings in this table are L1335 > L1065 groupings, but, as explained in the title line for each group, many groups are five or more mutations more specific than L1065.

So rats, I may need to do the much much more expensive Family Tree yDNA 111 test to get greater clarity.

My surname is Duncan so that fits with the Scots Cluster thing.

Best to you all, thanks for sharing.

David Duncan
