I having trouble finding more details on Amy Watts nee Ellis/ Clarke
Amy was born in the UK and move to NZ with her husband and children
Amy is " the adopted daughter of Thomas Ellis" but I cannot find a birth cert for her.
Born about 1853 in Staffordshire. married in 1872 in Atcham, Stropshire England
The 1881 census shows the family in Dudley, Staffordshire Amy was 27 William 31
They had a son Bernard Ellis Watts born 1873
They went to Wellington for a while and then to Northland
